Willie Mae Hooper, age 84, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Mrs. Hooper was born on November 26, 1938, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late William Lester and Elzoria McAllister Kinsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William David Kinsey and Homer “J.D.” Kinsey; sisters, Vera Mae Shelnut and Evelyn Choosewood.
Mrs. Hooper attended Trinity Full Gospel. She also was a homemaker.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Thomas W. Hooper, of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Keith and Diane Hooper, of Clarkesville; William Eugene and Susie Hooper, of Demorest; Tony Randall and Kristie Hooper, of Cleveland; brothers Waymon Kinsey, of Mt. Airy; Roy Lee Kinsey, of Oakwood; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Taylor and Pastor John Henry Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the service.
