William Paul O’Kelley, age 76, of Baldwin, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Mr. O’Kelley was born on June 21, 1944, in Madison County, Georgia to the late Dorsey O’Kelley and the late Ruby Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vivian Cromer; step-mother, Cora O’Kelley; and step-father, John Evans. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. O’Kelley was a member of Liberty Church in Madison County. He worked as a Foreman Lineman for Mastec for 13 years. Later in life, he served as a School Bus Driver for the Banks County Board of Transportation. Paul was known to his grandchildren as “Papa”.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Bonds O’Kelley, of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Kandace O’Kelley, of Tullahoma, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Darrell White, of Baldwin; son, Hunter O’Kelley, of Baldwin; sisters, Diane Swiams, of Danielsville; Martha Watkins, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Lee O’Kelley and Gracie; Will O’Kelley and Katy; Quinton Ringel; Wyatt O’Kelley; Allison Griffin and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Abigail, Rylan, and Payton.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Lamar Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at the funeral home.
