Three Cleveland residents were seriously injured in a wreck Friday evening. The accident happened just after 7 p.m. on Post Road half a mile from Tom Teague Road in White County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the Austin Scott Jarrard was traveling east on Post Road in a 1997 Ford F-250 when he ran off the shoulder of the road in a curve. Jarrard’s pickup crossed the center line and traveled into the westbound lane of Post Road.
The pickup crashed head-on into a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 31-year-old Andrea Bacino. The force of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn. Bacino’s car ran down an embankment and into a creek.
Friends say Bacino was on her way home from work when the accident happened. Both she and a passenger in her car, 49-year-old Teresa Ann Stowers, were seriously injured. So was, the 22-year-old Jarrard.
All three were wearing their seatbelts, according to the GSP report.
The accident shut down Post Road for approximately two hours as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
