
A White County woman has been charged with murder in the death of her 19-month old daughter.
The White County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday, February 27 at 3:27 PM officers and White County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a residence in Cleveland in response to a 19-month old in distress. The child, identified as Shyloh Wood, was transported to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta where she died, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
An autopsy was performed at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime laboratory on Friday.
As a result of the investigation, the sheriff’s office and GBI charged the child’s mother, 21-year old Quinn Riley Wood, with murder, aggravated battery, and cruelty to children.
The sheriff’s office did not release any further details.
