The United Way of White County has set its 2023 fundraising goal at $80,000. The funds will be used to support local not-for-profit agencies in fulfilling their missions to enrich the lives of neighbors in need.

“In kicking off the 2023 campaign, the United Way of White County looks to continue a four-decades-long practice of playing a key role in the well-being of our community,” says White County United Way President Stacy Gray.

Over the past 39 years, the United Way of White County has delivered more than $2 million in funding to a host of not-for-profits.

The organization unveiled a goal thermometer sign at the northwest corner of North Main Street and Helen Highway in Cleveland. This year’s goal represents a $5,000 increase over last year’s goal.

The money raised during this year’s campaign will be distributed to 14 local organizations including Catalyst Christian Learning Center, Circle of Hope, Cleveland Care Center, Community Helping Hands Clinic, Enota CASA Inc., Family Promise of White County, Habersham Homeless Ministries, Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia, Rape Response Inc., South Enotah Child Advocacy Center, White County Backpack Buddies, White County Caring & Sharing, White County Food Pantry and White County 4-H.
