White County Special Olympic athletes compete in State Games

(Cleveland)- White County Special Olympics team proudly represented the county this past weekend in the 2019 State Summer Games played at Emory University. Close to 3,000 athletes, coaches, and partners were on hand to participate in Olympic-type competitions in eight sports.

White County Special Olympics Chairperson Sharon Brown said the team brought home five gold, two silver, three bronze medals, and two ribbons. Also, White County was awarded the 2019 Outstanding Local Special Olympics Program.
