Members of the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission (GMRC) traveled to Unicoi State Park for their monthly business meeting in September.
White County Government hosted the event, bringing together regional leaders and stakeholders to discuss and collaborate on area issues and development.
“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase the natural beauty and hospitality of our region while collaborating on crucial matters that affect our communities,” said White County Commission Chair Travis Turner.
The keynote speaker for the event was Deputy Executive Director of the Georgia Emergency Communications Authority, Aleisha Rucker-Wright. She spoke on the future of E-911 and the future framework for a statewide communications network.
