The White County Commission has declared April 15-19 as Exceptional Children’s Week to raise awareness about children with disabilities and exceptionalities.

The commissioners also approved a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the county. The declaration names four local organizations that help and protect children: South Enotah Child Advocacy Center, White County Family Connection, White County Department of Family and Children Services, and Enotah Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
