The White County Chamber of Commerce invites Helen business owners and operators to a FLOST informational meeting on Tuesday, May 13, at 6 p.m. at Helen City Hall.
At this meeting, you will learn about a proposed 1% Floating Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST).
This tax is designed to reduce property taxes while still funding essential services and ensuring that non-residents are contributing through a sales tax.
This meeting is free to attend, but you must RSVP.
According to the Chamber, this meeting is for business owners and operators only. There will be another meeting at a later time for the general public.
