(Cleveland)- The White County Cannery, operated through the White County School System is scheduled to open for the season next Tuesday, June 29th.
During the Board of Education Meeting, Thursday evening, White County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Laurie Burkett said they are excited about opening the facility and talked about the things they have done to prepare for the opening.
The cannery will be open each Tuesday from 8 a.m. until Noon and Thursdays from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. through July 29. Beginning August 10, the cannery will be open only on Thursdays from 2-6 PM.
The processing fee is 25-cents per jar.
The White County Cannery is located next to White County Middle School off Old Blairsville Road in Cleveland.
