As planned, White County Schools will resume face-to-face learning on Jan. 19.
School officials say all students not enrolled in the Distant Learning program will return to the regular classroom.
Due to the surge of coronavirus in the county and surrounding areas, the school system decided to have all students learn from home for two weeks after the Christmas break.
Several other area school systems including Banks, Hart, and Rabun will also return to in-person learning on Jan. 19 after the Martin Luther King Holiday.
Hall County and Gainesville City Schools will return to a hybrid model that includes alternating student days for most students. Dual enrollment and special needs students will return to in-person instruction full-time.
Habersham County Schools are scheduled to return to in-person instruction on Jan. 25.
