After a very warm week across North Georgia, a pattern change will bring heavy rains and much cooler temperatures.
Expect mostly cloudy skies on Monday, although we should remain dry. A wedge of cooler air will be building in from the northeast, with light east winds throughout the day. This, combined with the clouds, will hold highs down into the 50s.
Tuesday through Thursday will feature a pair of weather systems, both bringing the possibility of some heavy rain. Total rainfall of 2-4″ is possible during this period and the wedge of cool air will really take hold with highs only in the 40s. The wedge will break down ahead of the cold front on Thursday, and highs will briefly reach back into the low-60s with south winds.
Luckily, a cold front is expected to push through just in time for Valentine’s Day on Friday leaving sunshine and highs back into the 50s in its wake.
Another weather system will bring a risk of more heavy rain next weekend.
Have a great week!
