Mr. Wesley Darrell Kelly, age 38, of Clarkesville, GA, walked through the Pearly Gates on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Habersham Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born January 15, 1983, in Buchanon, VA, he was the son of Darrell and Janice Carter Kelly.
He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, GA and was a manager with Ingles Market. Wesley had worked at Ingles for 23 years and was currently at the Cleveland Ingles. He loved his job and he enjoyed fishing, the beach, and recently traveling out west.
Family members include his parents, Darrell and Janice Carter Kelly of Clarkesville; sister, Julie Kelly of Toccoa; niece, Zoie Kelly of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kandace Carter of Toccoa; niece and nephew, Cassidy Carter and Brentley Carter; his girlfriend, Miranda Jones; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Deedy and Edna Kelly and Charles and Ethel Carter.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2-4 pm and 6–8 pm Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Sunday, August 15, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Darren Mitchell, the Rev. Larry Ryals, and the Rev. David Stancil officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Michael Carter, Chris Carter, Adam Stewart, Darren Mitchell, Tripp Jamerson, Levi Price, Matt Head, and Matt Todd.
Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Gideon’s or to the Church or Charity of choice.
Family and friends will be at the home of his sister, Julie Kelly.
Following the service on Sunday, family and friends will be gathering at Ebenezer Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
