We’ll kick this weekend off very chilly on Friday, with highs only in the 40s for most of the region. Some of the highest elevations may not get out of the upper 30s as a very cold airmass settles into the region. Winds will remain gusty at 30-35 m.p.h. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the western part of the state but does not include any of Northeast Georgia.
Sunshine will continue to dominate on Saturday and Sunday as we begin a quick moderation of temperatures. Winds will remain gusty through the first half of Saturday, with gusts to 20 m.p.h. remaining possible. Winds will die down through Saturday night.
Sunday looks absolutely gorgeous for any outdoor plans. It will start chilly in the morning, but dry air will quickly heat up into the mid-60s for most and the upper-50s in the higher elevations.
An early look at Thanksgiving shows another major cold front swinging through, and rain is currently looking likely for Thursday and Black Friday shopping.
Have a great weekend!
