It was another night of exciting high school football action in Northeast Georgia. And for Habersham Central fans, the season just keeps getting better!

The Raiders went into tonight’s home game against Franklin County flying high with momentum from last week’s huge come-from-behind win at White County. And although Franklin County edged the Raiders a season ago, this time it was personal and at home for the Raiders.

The Raiders were up 21-0 at the half. Franklin came back to match that score, putting 13 points on the board in the 3rd and 7 more in the 4th qtr. It wasn’t enough. The Raiders answered the Lions with two TDs in the second half. Final score, Raiders 35, Franklin County 20.

With the win Habersham bested last season’s 2 win record. They’re now 3-1 on the season. The Lions drop to 1-2.

Next up, the Raiders travel to Stephens County to take on the neighboring rival Indians. Game time is 7:30pm, Sept. 14.
