(Clarkesville)- Water damage to the Habersham EMC Cleveland office, located in the Colonial Shopping Center on Hwy. 129 South in Cleveland, has forced officials to close the office this week for repairs.
HEMC spokeswoman Susan Baker advised in an email Tuesday morning that they made a decision Sunday night after finding the damage, knowing they wouldn’t be operating on Monday.
Baker said Tuesday morning the closure was extended through the whole week. The office will re-open on Monday, July 9th . Baker advised that although the water leak was resolved within a short time, the location suffered damage to the flooring and drywall that will take a few days to repair.
Employees have been temporarily relocated to the main office in Clarkesville.
Habersham EMC officials emphasize that members can visit their main office location in Clarkesville or call (706) 754-2114 or (800) 640-6812 for service.
