WATCH: Leopards dazzle in debut of new offense, Coach Winter

It was a perfect debut for coach Todd Winter and the new-look Leopards triple-option offense. The Leopards poured on the points, going up 40-0 at the half en route to a 57-7 final against Johnson in Homer. The final tune-up before the season opener at East Hall also featured the defense holding the Knights to zero first downs in the first half.

Banks County scored 19 in the first and added 21 in the second. It was Ashton Camp who found pay dirt first, scampering in from 15 yards out on the first drive for the Leopards. On the next possession, QB Lane Morris found the end zone from 14 ticks out for the 13-0 lead with 2:24 on the clock. After a fumble on the next play gave it back to Banks County, the Leopards scored again with Morris, this time from 21 yards away at the 2:10 mark.

Johnson couldn’t get anything going at all, as Cam Cooper, Caden Watson, and others were relentless. Less than a minute into the second, Morris struck again on a nifty 40-yard TD to push the lead up to 26-0. A few minutes later on their next drive, the Leopards converted a big pass from Morris to Watson, which was followed by a 30-yard TD run from Aucy Jacobs. Morris added his fourth rushing score just under 2 minutes left in the second, this time on a 15-yard run, lighting up the board to 40-0.
