A warm weekend is on the way after we kick it off with some rainfall.
Light rain is likely on and off through the day on Friday. The latest models keep rainfall totals very light, with only 1/4-1/2″ expected across most of the region. Some of the higher elevations could see a bit more with up to 3/4″ possible across much of Rabun, Towns, and Fannin Counties.
After the front pushes through we won’t cool off. In fact, quite the opposite. Saturday and Sunday look absolutely spectacular as we head into February. Highs will run well above normal with low/mid-60s likely both days.
General Lee has a pretty good chance at seeing his shadow with sunshine in the forecast on Sunday morning, but right now no big cooldowns are in sight.
Have a great weekend!
