Walter Ralph Looney, Jr., age 78, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Mr. Looney was born on June 22, 1946, in Cornelia, Georgia, to the late Walter and Virginia McDonald Looney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Van Horn. He was a retired Education Specialist with the Department of Corrections, State of Georgia.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Brenda M. Looney, Mt. Airy, Georgia; children, Robin Looney and Renee Looney (Carl) Dann; grandchildren, Carson Dann, Mattie ( Jason) Leviner, Cole Dann, and Brenna Dann; and sister, Linda Van Horn Brown.
No formal services are planned at this time. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.
