Four Northeast Georgia volleyball teams reached the Elite 8—two are moving on to the Final 4.
On Wednesday, #6 White County (29-9) and #7 Jefferson (31-5) advanced to the Class 3A semifinals in the GHSA volleyball playoffs. They’ll face off in the Final 4 Saturday at Holy Innocents’
CLASS 5A
#3 Sequoyah 3, #3 Habersham Central 0
The Lady Raiders saw their historic season end in the Elite 8 in a 3-0 loss at Sequoyah.
CLASS 3A
#6 White County 3, #14 Lafayette 2
White County grabbed a thriller in a 3-2 final over LaFayette, including a 15-9 decisive third set. The Lady Warriors are on to the Final 4!
#7 Jefferson 3, #2 Chestatee 2
The Lady Dragons punched a Final 4 ticket with a huge win against powerhouse Chestatee. It came down to the final set, but Jefferson claimed the 3-2 win.
CLASS 2A
#13 Ringgold 3, #21 Union County 0
The Lady Panthers lost 3-0 despite a valiant effort in the middle set. Ringgold won 25-13, 25-22, 25-12, ending Union’s season.
