Virginia Curtis Creighton, age 88, of Macon, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 27, 1932, in Thomasville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late V. V. Curtis and Ola Beverly Curtis. She was married for 49 years to the late Maurice H. “Clag” Creighton. Mrs. Creighton was the owner and operator of Creighton’s Dress Shop and was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved shopping, traveling, lunches with friends, and an ice cold Coca-Cola.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Curtis Singletary, and brother, Thomas Vinson Curtis.
Surviving are children, Michael Creighton of Macon and Beverly Creighton Stewart (Robert) of Sky Valley; grandchildren, Allison Dixon and Bobby Stewart (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Tripp and Cameron Stewart.
Private memorial services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the home of Robert and Beverly Stewart, 95 Saddleback Circle #398, Sky Valley, GA 30537. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, 6511 Houston Rd, Macon, GA 31216.
