(Cleveland)-A single vehicle accident in the city of Cleveland sent the female driver to the hospital just before noon Friday. Ricky Pruitt, Cleveland Fire Chief said they were dispatched at 11:38 a.m. to the area of Highway 75 south behind Cleveland Builders Supply. Pruitt said the driver of the vehicle was negotiating a curve and struck a power pole.
According to Pruitt the driver was transported to the hospital by White County Emergency Medical Service ambulance with what he described as non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway will be closed about three hours while Georgia Power crews replace the broken pole and attach power lines. Motorist are urged to avoid the area until late this afternoon.
