DEMOREST, Ga. – Habersham Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Michael H. Lebow, MD. Dr. Lebow, a vascular surgeon, has joined the full-time medical staff and will perform outpatient and inpatient surgeries at Habersham Medical Center.

Dr. Lebow is board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and brings with him a wealth of experience in vascular surgery. Most recently, he was the founding medical director of endovascular surgery at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is currently a partner with University Surgical Associates of Athens.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, and a medical degree from the University of Virginia School Of Medicine. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by a Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Dr. Lebow served as an Airborne Infantryman in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and with the United Nations Command in Panmunjom, Korea.

He is a member of the Southern Association of Vascular Surgery and Society for Vascular Surgery. He has published multiple articles regarding vascular and endovascular surgery and has spoken at national meetings on both arterial and venous diseases.

Dr Lebow has special interest in the treatment of lower extremity arterial and venous disease with an emphasis on endovascular therapies. He is experienced in treating aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease and dialysis access procedures and will be performing these procedures at Habersham Medical Center.
