On April 12, 2017, Habersham County Animal Care and Control officers and assisting agencies impounded over 400 animals from the couple’s property, including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, doves, chinchillas, a llama, a horse, and a squirrel. Over 300 of the animals were dogs.

All of the charges are misdemeanors. Each count carries with it a maximum penalty of 12 months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

The Brambletts both pleaded not guilty during their June 14 arraignment.
