United Community Bank recently donated $2,500 to Habersham County United Way. The money will directly impact local agencies that meet critical food needs in the county.
The donation was part of an interactive online campaign UCB hosted. Using #UnitedInGratitude, the bank asked customers to share what they’re thankful for. United Community Bank then donated $10 for every story collected from social media channels and online entries, up to $20,000.
United Community Bank shared customers’ responses on its website for others to see.
“Even in the face of adversity, there are always a lot of good things happening in the community and in our lives,” says Moryah Jackson, Vice President of Community Development and Engagement at United Community Bank. “With this campaign, we were proud to inspire an attitude of gratitude and support such a deserving organization like the United Way.”
In addition to Habersham, United Community Bank donated to four other United Way agencies in its southeastern service area.
