Uncle, niece jailed on drug charges

Two Cleveland relatives face drug charges after authorities say they discovered marijuana and evidence of heroin inside their home.

Officers arrested 51-year-old Dean Moss and his 24-year-old niece P’Tia Moss on Thursday, May 17. They were taken into custody after officers searched their residence at 896 Campbell Street B4.

Law enforcement conducted the search following “numerous narcotic related complaints,” according to Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) Special Agent in Charge Mitchell Posey.

ARDEO, the Cleveland Police Department, and Department of Community Supervision assisted in the search.

“Authorities found 56 grams of individually packaged bags of marijuana, 3 baggies with heroin residue, along with packaging material and digital scales,” Posey says in a press release.
