(Gainesville)- The U.S. Forest Service is seeking input from the public as they look to put together landscape management policies for a 143,419-acre swath of the Chattahoochee National Forest in north Georgia.
Included in The Foothills Landscape project are sections of the Cohutta WMA in Fannin, Gilmer and Murray Counties, as well as Forest Service lands in Dawson, Habersham, Lumpkin, Rabun and White Counties.
According to their website, the purpose of this project is to create, restore and maintain ecosystems that are more resilient to natural disturbances.
