The 2023 Georgia Republican Party is being held this weekend at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. The White County Republican Party will be well represented at the convention by individual delegates and alternates who were selected at the White County Convention.
In addition, White County Republican Party Secretary Rebecca Yardley is a candidate for Chairman of the State Republican Party. She has two challengers, Dennis Futch and Josh McKoon.
White County Republican Party Chairman Ron Webb said, “It will be quite a feather in our cap and a great accomplishment for Rebecca if she can win this election.” He said, “She should win because I know she has worked her fingers to the bone to accomplish this goal.”
In addition, another White County GOP member James King is seeking the position of Assistant Secretary for the state group.
