A rollover wreck Friday near Clarkesville sent two people to the hospital with apparent minor injuries.
The crash happened around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of SR 17/Toccoa Highway and Bob Patton Road about two miles north of Hills Crossing.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, 71-year-old Candace Krefft of Clarkesville failed to stop at the stop sign on Bob Patton Road. The Mazda CX3 she was driving collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by 81-year-old Howard McGlennen. The wreck injured McGlennen and one of his passengers, 79-year-old Elaine McGlennen. A second passenger in McGlennen’s car, 24-year-old Alexander Blakely of Lavonia, was not injured.
Habersham EMS transported to McGlennens to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
Krefft was not injured in the wreck. State troopers charged her with failure to stop at a stop sign.
The wreck temporarily shut down SR 17 near the crash site. The road reopened by 7 p.m.
