Two Tallulah Falls School seniors received good news in January in the form of an early action acceptance to the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Students accepted to the Georgia Institute of Technology are Cade Bramlett of Clarkesville and Michelle Thevenin of Lithonia.

This year, 18,124 students applied for Early Action [EA] admission to the 2018 class, with 4,600 students admitted.

According to the Georgia Tech website, the middle 50 percent score range for the SAT was 1390-1530 out of 1600. The middle 50 percent score range of the composite ACT was 32-35 out of 36.

For all admission categories, Georgia Tech reports more than 35,600 students have applied for admission to Georgia Tech for fall of 2018  — a record high, and about a 13 percent increase from 2017.  Students applied from all 50 states, 137 countries and 121 counties in Georgia.

“These two high-achieving TFS seniors were a part of a highly-competitive selection process,” said TFS College Counselor Bobby Hammond.

Students accepted under EA are automatically considered for academic scholarships.

“We are extremely proud of these accomplished students,” President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy said. “This group is among the brightest of the TFS Class of 2018.”
