There will be two candidates on the ballot for Alto City Council in November. Habersham County Election Supervisor Laurel Ellison says Cheryl Lynne Closs and Michael Ivie, Jr. qualified to run for the Post 3 seat last week.
The seat has been vacant since November 30, 2015 when Margaret Beaupre resigned to take a job in the New England area.
Closs and Ivie will face off in a Special Election on November 8th.
