(Cleveland)- A chase through the city of Cleveland Tuesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of two people.

White County Sheriff’s Captain Rick Kelley said in an email, “Our Dispatch put out a ‘BOLO” (Be on the Lookout) for a white Kia Sorrento that was reported as driving reckless and speeding. One of the deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on Cantrell Road at Helen Highway. The vehicle failed to stop and ran from the deputies. ”

According to Kelley, the deputies pursued the vehicle through the center of town to an address on Hood Street where the driver stopped and surrendered to deputies.

Kelley identified the driver as 22-year old Darryl Kendall Moss of Cleveland. He was arrested and charged with failure to maintain lane, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, improper brake lights, reckless driving, failure to stop at stop sign, and driving without a valid license.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kyle Reynolds age 28 of Gainesville, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Officers with the Cleveland Police Department assisted in the operation.
