(Blairsville) – The GBI has charged two Northeast Georgia men with sexually exploiting children. The two allegedly possessed child pornography.
On Feb. 12, the GBI Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC) executed search warrants on two residences in Union County. The Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted them.
The GBI says the searches stemmed from two separate investigations. As a result, agents arrested Steven Hildebrant, age 41, and Shaun Kanady, age 20, both of Blairsville.
The GBI charged Hildebrant with one count of possession of child pornography and Kanady with four counts.
GBI spokesperson Nelly Miles says the investigations are active and ongoing.
