Two injured in motorcycle crash

Motorcycle wreck one of two rear-end accidents on GA 365 in Habersham on Friday

A motorcycle crash on GA 365 near Mt. Airy Friday sent two people to the hospital.

Peter and Paula Golden of Demorest were riding a Piaggio BV200 motorcycle in the right southbound lane when a Ford F250 pickup truck rear-ended them, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

The pickup, driven by Christopher Isbell of Mt. Airy, came to a controlled rest off the west shoulder of the highway. The motorcycle landed on its left side.

Isbell was not injured. The Goldens were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Around the same time, GSP worked another rear-end wreck involving two cars on GA 365 northbound. It happened near the Mt. Airy exit according to eyewitnesses.

Officials say a 2014 Ford Mustang driven by Charles Fuller of Toccoa ran into the back of a 2014 Honda Accord that had stopped due to traffic. The Honda was driven by Aaron Cosson of Defuniak Springs, Florida.

No one was injured in that wreck.
