fatal accident

Two people were found dead in a car that crashed on GA 365 in Hall County. The vehicle ran off the highway and was discovered by a passing motorist around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, state troopers say.

The crash happened north of White Sulphur Road in Hall County. The deceased driver and passenger are identified as George Sidney Curtis, III 33, of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Anne Marie Langston, 29, of Lula.

The preliminary investigation shows Curtis was driving a Kia Optima north on GA 365. The car left the roadway onto the east shoulder and struck a guardrail with its passenger side. The vehicle then struck the back side of a separate guard rail with its driver’s side.

The car continued traveling north behind the guardrail and struck several trees where it came to an uncontrolled rest.

Troopers with Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville are investigating the cause of the crash.
