Two charged in Toccoa shooting

Two people have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the July shooting of a Toccoa teenager.

21-year-old Kentavius Walker and 17-year-old Samantha Breanna George, both of Toccoa, are accused of shooting 17-year-old Spencer Reason. He was shot multiple times and was hospitalized as a result of his injuries.

The shooting happened the night of July 26 on Prather’s Bridge Road.

Walker is also charged in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Joel Keshon Green on Aug. 8.

Toccoa Police asked the GBI to assist in the investigation.

“Toccoa PD Investigators and GBI Agents worked diligently to follow leads in this case which resulted in the arrest of the responsible parties,” a news release from the GBI states.

The investigation continues. When it’s complete, the case will be sent to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney for prosecution.

The GBI corrected the last name of the female suspect, Samantha Breanna George. This article has been updated to reflect that change.
