Two Toccoa men are behind bars charged with drug trafficking after community tips led law enforcement to their door.

40-year old Ronald James Savage and 37-year old Carey Lee Wilbanks were arrested this afternoon after officers executed a search warrant at Savage’s home at 652 Long Circle in Toccoa.

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) took part in the joint operation.

A press release from ARDEO says the warrant was initiated “based on multiple tips received from the community.”
