Two people were arrested in Gilmer County earlier this week after a police raid on a residence on Simmons Road, according to the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies from the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at the residence in the western part of the county on Monday, Feb. 17. The home, belonging to Alex Ledesma, 35, and Sarah Anne Aranda, 30, was allegedly found to contain a substantial amount of illegal substances and firearms, according to authorities.

During the search, deputies say they uncovered 24 grams of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, approximately $1,400 in cash, and around nine pounds of marijuana. Authorities also seized 14 firearms, which police say was prohibited since Ledesma is a convicted felon.
