Truett McConnell’s Joao Costa earned his second Appalachian Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after a two-goal performance against Bluefield as announced by the league office Monday.
Costa leads the conference in goals with 16 and is two behind the national leader in the statistical category.
This is the second time Costa was named Offensive Player of the Week and the first time since the first week of the season after a hat trick against Brewton-Parker.
Costa will lead the Bears back on the field on Wednesday as they take on No. 23 Reinhardt at 7 p.m. in Waleska.
