Jacob Booke scored a career high 24 points as the Truett McConnell men’s basketball team won its third straight contest, defeating Point 88-79 Thursday night.
The Bears improve to 7-9 on the season with the win.
The Bears jumped out to a 6-0 lead and then 11-5 as Booke scored the first 11 points for TMU. After the Skyhawks battled back to take a two-point lead, the Bears pushed the gas pedal down and stormed ahead, leading by as many as 15 in the second half en route to the win.
Many players had big nights for the Bears. David Campbell Jr. had 19 points and six assists. Booke finished 10-for-12 from the floor, while Kai Lambert added 16 points.
Christian Davis dished out a game-high eight assists for TMU in the win as the Bears assisted on 18 of 32 made baskets in the game.
TMU will return home Saturday afternoon to take on Reinhardt in another AAC matchup. Tip time is set for 4 p.m. in the Bear Cave.
