(Cleveland) Truett McConnell University (TMU) in Cleveland has announced its elevation from a Level III Institution to a Level V Institution with the launch of its Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program.
This milestone signifies an accreditation level change with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Established 78 years ago as a two-year junior college, TMU now boasts 10 schools and more than 50 programs of study. The introduction of the DBA program represents a historic moment for the university, expanding its ability to prepare students for leadership in an ever-changing world.
The DBA program is tailored for business professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in strategic thinking, leadership, and innovation. Designed with flexibility in mind, the program is delivered 100% online and can be
completed in just over two years. This future-focused curriculum emphasizes practical application, equipping graduates to drive organizational success through a Biblical worldview.
“Only the providence and goodness of God can explain such an historic day in the life of Truett McConnell University,” wrote Dr. Emir Caner, TMU President, about the program’s opening. “The once two-year junior college founded in 1946, a college that only began offering graduate degrees a decade ago, is now approved to confer the Doctorate in Business Administration. While few could ever imagine this day, one crucial principle
remains the same: all of our degrees are firmly established on the inerrant and sufficient Word of God and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.”
Graduates of the DBA program will master leadership, innovation, and management skills, utilize advanced technology for growth, and lead with ethics rooted in Biblical principles.
“This new opportunity to offer doctoral studies reflects our commitment to Christian education and academic excellence, providing business professionals a platform to connect their practitioner experience with advanced learning while enhancing their skills for greater impact,” said Dr. Kimberly Maiocco, Dean of the College of Professional Studies.
TMU’s DBA program not only represents a step forward for the university but also a new chapter in its mission to develop leaders equipped to influence the business world through faith and integrity.
