No wreck. No injuries. But there was quite a mess after a truck traveling down North Main Street in Cornelia wiped out two power poles Friday.
The State Patrol says Kenneth Sneed of Ellenwood, Georgia, was driving a 2019 International tractor-trailer owned by Dollar General. Sneed attempted to enter the parking lot to make a delivery. As he turned into the parking lot, the trailer became entangled in the low hanging utility lines, according to Georgia State Trooper Vance Henry. The resulting contact caused two poles to break and damaged a third. One of the downed poles caused minor damage to the Country Cobbler shoe repair shop at 369 North Main.

Power was knocked out in the area. The road was closed for several hours as Georgia Power crews replaced the poles and repaired the utility lines.
