Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Cleveland

Two men are charged with trafficking meth and a third faces possession charges 

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, Cleveland Police conducted a traffic stop which led to the arrest of 39-year-old Bobby Joe Mullinax Jr. Officers seized approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine and $1,700 in cash, according to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO). The investigation continued and led to the execution of a search warrant the following day at Keith and Bradley Talley’s residence on Stanley Nix Road in Cleveland. During the execution of the search warrant an additional quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and various Schedule II pills were seized.

“This investigation yielded the total seizure of 460 Grams of methamphetamine, one ounce of marijuana, 30 Methyline pills, 73 Amphetamine and Dextramphetamine pills and 3 Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone pills,” says ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Mitchell Posey.  The street value of drugs is $51,985.

The White County Sheriff’s Office, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Corrections K-9 Units assisted with the search warrant.

Mullinax is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. Patrick Keith Talley is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute.  Bradley Austin Talley is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II with intent to distribute.

All three were arrested and transported to the White County Detention Center.
