As people were leaving church and heading out for lunch or home, Dennis Strange was sitting in his spreader truck at the red light on Highway 115 and Highway 17. As the light turned green, he eased off the brake and began to move forward. A Dodge Minivan, driven by a woman in her mid-twenties then rammed into the rear of the truck. The van suffered significant damage, the truck still driveable but with damage to the rear. The driver of the van was taken by ambulance to Habersham County Medical Center.
According to Corporal Mack Mormon of the Georgia State Patrol, the intersection is expected to be cleared by 2:00pm
