Tori Paige Dodd, age 22 of Clarkesville, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Our beautiful, talented, and loving Tori Paige Dodd was born March 9, 1994 in Stephens County Hospital at 3:15 p.m. From that day forward, she became the center of our world. Tori was in Laguna Beach, California, when she received her call to be an angel on January 19, 2017. In her short 22 years of life, Tori touched more lives and hearts than can be counted. Tori was welcomed to Heaven by her grandparents, Gene Dodd, Robert (Bobby) Knight, Maryann Franklin Knight; great grandparents, Royce Gunter, Norris Free, Burn Dodd, Ethel Dodd, and Harold Franklin; as well as many more family and friends that have soared before her.
Tori grew up in a tight-knit small town of Hollywood, GA where she lived her entire life. As a small child, she would go up to people and ask them, “Do you want to be friends?” She could carry on an hour long conversation with a stranger she just met. She was always complimenting people with her uplifting spirit and kind heart. Tori was thoughtful, brilliantly funny, and always making people smile. She enjoyed her waitress job at her grandparents restaurant Mc’s Kountry Kitchen because she would say, “I get paid for socializing”. Tori loved trips to the beach with her family, mac and cheese, small children, animals, cheerleading, gymnastics, car dancing to the radio, singing to the top of her lungs, rapping, modeling jobs, and doing make-overs. She had an infectious smile and absolutely no sense of direction.
Tori attended Habersham Central, graduated from Mountain Education Charter High School, and later attended North Georgia Technical College. Tori accepted Christ at Macedonia United Methodist Church and was baptized at The Torch Worship Center.
In addition to her parents, Shane & Heather Dodd of Clarkesville, Tori will be greatly missed by her sister, Jordan Dodd of Clarkesville; grandparents, Gary & Teresa Free of Clarkesville; great grandparents, Lonia Gunter of Demorest and Merle Free of Clarkesville; aunts and uncles, Crystal & Matthew Eller and Randall & Robbie Wade all of Clarkesville; cousins, Bridgett, Hutson, & Chloe; and a large extended family & friends.
We will love you forever and always. Thank you for being ours, Tori.
