Toccoa woman charged with trafficking fentanyl after traffic stop in Mt. Airy

A Toccoa woman faces eight felony drug counts after being arrested during a traffic stop in Habersham County.

52-year-old Kathy Lynn Loggins was taken into custody on April 27 after deputies say they found meth, cocaine, and fentanyl in her car. According to the arrest warrant, Loggins was allegedly carrying over 4 grams of fentanyl, enough to warrant a trafficking charge.

Habersham County deputies stopped Loggins’ vehicle as she traveled south on GA 365 in Mt. Airy. They say they found the drugs in a makeup case on the floorboard of her car. In addition to the trafficking charge, deputies charged her with possession with intent to distribute meth and cocaine, possession of drug-related objects, DUI drugs, and speeding.

Loggins was booked at the Habersham County Detention Center. A magistrate judge denied her bond, online jail records show. As of May 2, she was still being held in the county jail.
