Micah Ryals, who has coached the women’s basketball team for four years, has been named the new men’s basketball coach of Toccoa Falls College.
Ryals, a former Division II coach at Toccoa Falls, was named the league’s new coach after a four-year stint as head of the women’s team.
Ryals was named the National Christian College Athletic Association’s (NCCAA) DII South Region Coach of the Year and the NCCAA National Coach of the Year during the 2022-2023 season. He also guided the team to the NCCAA Division II National Tournament two years in a row.
Under Ryals’ leadership, many of his players have received regional and national recognition including First- and Second- Team All-Region, All-American, and more.
When asked about Ryals’ accomplishments with the Women’s team, Athletic Director, Josh Taylor, says Ryals is “very diligent with his work and spends countless hours studying film and teaching on and off the court.”
Taylor adds, “He has shown so much courage to build the foundation by bringing excitement into this program and teaching his players life lessons that go on and off the court. ‘”
