To All Educators

School books with apple on desk

To All Educators:

Your service to our community is appreciated – deeply appreciated. Yet, to say “we appreciate you” seems hardly enough when we realize the worlds you hold in your hands. From the four-year-old to the senior in high school, the students in your trust are influenced immeasurably by you. What you say isn’t as important as how you say it. What you do isn’t as important as how you do it. The encouragement you give may be the only words of hope the student has heard. The dreams you create in their hearts may be the only dreams they’ve ever visualized. The future you promise in their minds may be the only future a student has ever seen. You mold, make, and materialize what can be if only the student would reach out and grab hold. You help them embrace tomorrow.

Students are individuals – you know their names. Books are tools –  you show how to use them. Learning is the gateway –  you help lead them through it.  When considering your role as world changer, future holder, and giver of possibility, to say we appreciate you just isn’t enough.

Thank you for following your calling – for being a change agent. Without educators there would be no doctors, nurses, lawyers, accountants, farmers, restaurant managers, builders, preachers, or hope.

We are who we are because of you.
