TMU suspends on-campus classes for two weeks

Truett McConnell University in Cleveland is closing for two weeks in response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

TMU President Dr. Emir Caner announced today that the campus is suspending classes effective at 5 p.m. Friday, March 13. Currently, classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, March 30.

The university will consider March 16-20 as Easter break. Online instruction will begin on March 23 until on-campus classes resume.

Campus housing will be closed along with the student dining hall, wellness center, and other facilities. The school will reopen housing to residential students on Saturday, March 29.

All TMU activities and sporting events are canceled until April 1. Caner says all TMU admissions activities, including preview days, private tours, and WinShape
Preview Day, will continue as normal.
