(Cleveland)- Three Cleveland residents face armed robbery charges following an incident in White County last week.
Captain Clay Hammond with the White County Sheriff’s Office said on January 6th the White County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Mt. Yonah Trailhead parking lot in reference to an assault. The victim reported he was attacked by two unknown males, with a baseball bat.
Hammond said deputies later discovered that the involved parties were familiar with one another and planned to meet at the parking lot.
According to Hammond as a result of the investigation, the following people were charged in reference to this incident; Rebecca Baughcum, age 18 of Cleveland, charged with a party to the crime of armed robbery. 18-year old Vincent Groce of Cleveland, charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, criminal trespass, and 19-year old Dalton Langford also of Cleveland faces armed robbery charges.
In addition, 21-year old Johnathan Watson of Hiawassee was charged with possession of marijuana, with intent to distribute.
